Travel Like Janet (“we,” “us,” “our”) is an independent travel advisory of Fora Travel, Inc., a registered travel agency and operates as its own separate travel business. All travel-related bookings made through us are facilitated under Fora Travel’s travel agency license.
Travel Like Janet (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides custom travel planning services, curated itineraries, and travel recommendations for clients seeking elevated and immersive travel experiences. By using our website, submitting an inquiry, or engaging in our travel planning services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
Please read these terms carefully, as they outline the responsibilities of both the traveler (“you,” “your”) and Travel Like Janet.
Scopes of services

As your travel advisor, we provide personalized trip design, recommendations, and itinerary planning.

We facilitate bookings (hotels, tours, transfers, etc.) via Fora Travel, Inc. and other third-party suppliers.

We do not control the suppliers; bookings are subject to each supplier’s own terms, conditions, and change/cancellation policies.
Booking & payments
3.1 Service Fees: Planning Fees
All custom itinerary services, trip design fees, and concierge enhancements are billed directly by Fora Travel Inc. on behalf of Travel Like Janet.

Travel Advisor will provide Client with travel planning services, which may include researching and booking travel arrangements such as accommodations, transportation, activities and tours based on Client’s preferences and budget, as well as any other services agreed to by the parties in writing.

Travel Advisor may charge a planning fee for its services, which will be mutually agreed with Client in writing. Any planning fees charged are 100% nonrefundable and due before Travel Advisor begins work on an itinerary.
3.2 Third-Party Payments
Payments for travel products (hotels, tours, transport) are made through Fora Travel or directly to suppliers, depending on the booking.
3.3 Pricing & Availability
Quotes, availability, and pricing are subject to change at the discretion of third-party suppliers. Travel Like Janet is not responsible for price adjustments made by third-party suppliers.
Client Responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate traveler information, passport details, dates of birth, special requests, and any relevant preferences needed to complete bookings. You are responsible for reviewing all confirmations, invoices, tickets, and travel documents for accuracy.

Any changes after itinerary approval may incur additional fees from us (for design) or from the suppliers.

Travel Advisor’s role is to make travel reservations for the Client upon request and to act as liaison between Client and travel suppliers, ensuring the itinerary runs smoothly.

Client acknowledges that the suppliers whose names appear in travel documentation are those actually responsible for providing the travel services purchased and that travel documents may be issued by third party booking channels selected by Travel Advisor. Client consents to the use of the suppliers disclosed to Client and is responsible for due diligence of the suppliers chosen by Client or the traveler and quality of their services. Client agrees that the Travel Advisor will not be responsible if the Client is not satisfied with the final choices.

Travel Advisor makes no guarantee of a supplier’s rates, bookings, quality of services, or special requests. Each supplier is an independent entity with its own management and is not subject to Travel Advisor’s control. Travel Advisor bears no responsibility for any changes, delays, alterations, modifications or cancellations of an itinerary or booking made by a supplier, other third party or due to force majeure and does not cover associated costs.
Travel Documents & Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring you have all valid identification, passports, visas, vaccinations, and other travel documentation required for your trip. Requirements vary by country and may change without notice.
Travel Like Janet is not liable for denied boarding, entry restrictions, missed flights, or travel disruptions caused by incomplete travel documentation.
Cancellations, Changes & Refunds
Cancellation policies, change penalties, and refund rules are determined by the supplier. These policies may be strict and non-refundable.
Travel Like Janet is not responsible for:

refunds denied by a supplier,

fees resulting from traveler delays or cancellations,

weather-related disruptions, airline changes, or force majeure events.
We always advocate on your behalf, but the final decisions rest with the supplier. Additional planning fees may apply for reworking itineraries or making post-booking changes.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance, including trip cancellation, interruption, medical coverage, and baggage protection. Travel Like Janet may suggest options, but we do not provide insurance directly.
Failure to secure proper insurance means you assume all associated risks.
Travel Risks
Travel involves inherent risks such as illness, accidents, natural events, political instability, and supplier-related issues. By engaging our services, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
Travel Like Janet is not liable for injury, loss, damage, delay, or irregularity that arises from acts or omissions of third parties.
Website Use & Intellectual Property
All content on our website including text, itineraries, guides, and design is owned by Travel Like Janet. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without our prior written permission.
Privacy Policy
We value your privacy. Any personal information shared with us is used solely for the purpose of planning and securing your travel arrangements. We do not sell or share personal data with outside parties except when necessary to complete your bookings.

Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Travel Like Janet is not responsible for:

errors made by third-party suppliers,

changes to itineraries imposed by hotels, airlines, or tour operators,

lost, stolen, or damaged personal items,

any additional expenses incurred due to delays, medical issues, or force majeure events.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for itinerary design services.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Your continued use of our services after such changes will constitute acceptance of the new terms.
Fora Travel, Inc. Terms

As bookings are processed through Fora Travel, Inc., you are also subject to Fora Travel’s Terms of Use and policies. By working with us, you implicitly agree to those terms.

Fora’s public disclosures highlight that its advisors operate as independent contractors.

Fora provides training, commission-processing, and technology support to its advisors.

Commission structure: Fora Advisors earn commissions from third-party suppliers and travel partners. All commission amounts, rates, and compensation details are considered proprietary to Fora Travel, Inc. and its advisors, and are not obligated to be disclosed to clients.

Fora maintains Errors & Omissions (E&O) insurance for its advisors.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina.
